I applied a coat of oil to stop any rust in its tracks. I have taken a photo of the number splines which you can use to compare on pinion shaft it will attach. Nos 1957 Ford rear drive shaft yoke axle end B7A-4851-B. It looks like much of the original coastline Protestant is still present.

This does not fit Thunderbird. I have included photos of these pages for reference. My part still has its protective cardboard cover over the outer bearing surfaces. Thus, my 1949 - 59 Ford parts book the blue book dated 1964 shows the B8A-4851-B replacement as original for all 1957, 1958 and 1959 full size passenger cars including station wagons sedan deliveries. This B7A-4851-B yoke was replaced by part number B8A-4851-B in 1961.

This would include the much-sought-after retractable and ranchers. A thorough decreasing followed by an evaporate soak, and it should turn out pretty darn nice. I didn't do it now because wanted the cardboard sleeve with part number to remain undisturbed. My 57-dated Ford parts book lists this as for 1957 station wagon and sedan delivery model's.
