2nd gear let go and I decided get ride of the car an installed a factory transmission. Here is the install kit that should be purchased with diff since i'm not including old races so you replace bearings. For sale a used Wavetrac diff for the 02j, 02J-B and 02s. Update - so update and i'll put in the as well.

This was installed on my mk5 07k. Got off the phone with auto tech this diff will also work on o2j transmission since it as correct ring gear for. Fitment according to auto tech/Wavetrac. Please verify fitment and transmission model before purchasing.

No issues that i'm aware of with the diff and was working properly before removal. So as long you use the whole assembly it will drop in due to only difference is ring gear id. You'll also need to purchase the shim kit when you measure end play auto tech or Vw will have that.
